Handcar Regatta

Dear reader,

I am most pleased to note that innumerable electro-luminescent graphical renderings have been generously appended to the Engineers’ Arcade!

Included are dispatches from the following brilliant tinkers and masterful hackers:

• Krank-Boom-Clank’s “Hennepin Crawler” is finally complete (though there is one caveat for viewers…).
• Welded Sykkelen is well on the way to its exciting and most unusual maiden voyage.
• Mr. Barricklow changes tack entirely and undergoes a total rethink of his former idea of a rail sled.

Good show, lads! The Great Handcar Regatta is proud to be host to such stunning feats of the tool!

Stayed tuned, good reader, for more devious developments and yet more railcars by other builders who have promised to grace our races with their rail-bound conundrums!

Among the many bike modders and hackers on the Aetherweb, few sites have compiled a more astounding and engaging collection of electro-luminescent graphical renderings detailing such exquisite “Retro” creations as the enviable Rat Rod Bikes.

By far my favorite is the “Rag and Bone” beauty by a fellow known simply as “gaskill”. Good show! These wheels are “bully” as they say and we Regatta folk happily tip our toppers to such style and elegance as shown by all of the hackers at Rat Rod Bikes.

The Handcar Regatta misfits love those diverting and clever hackers and doers who, among many talents, grapple the detritus of society’s profuse junkyards and rubbish bins to re-envision an elegant and useful object.

One such gentleman of the Tool is Hieronymus Isambard Jake von Slatt of the Steampunk Workshop.

Such lovely works of “Paleo-Future” art indeed! We respectfully tip our toppers to many more delightful projects in the near future.
