Free Valet Bike Parking

Valet Bike Parking SignThe Great West End and Railroad Square Handcar Regatta is proud to procure Free & Secure Bicycle Parking in the Chevy’s parking lot!

Do refrain from piloting your noisome motor carriage and indulging a head-ache amidst traffic and a limitless pursuit of parking space. Instead, dear reader and ambitious saver of precious resources, ride your “BIKE”!

We are providing a safe and secure setting for you to leave your bicycle or Pennyfarthing Hi-Wheeler at our grand event, free of charge!

The noble Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition, whose lofty goal is to promote the bicycle as transportation and recreation, will be patiently hosting said bicycles and other pedal-powered contraptions of The People.

So, good citizens of Santa Rosa and surrounds: retreat from said motor carriages and debark out into the open air and relish this great event on two pedal-power wheels instead of four!

Driving Directions

The Handcar Regatta is located at Railroad Square in the old downtown Santa Rosa, California, “Depot Park” between 4th and 5th Streets near Wilson Street.

Santa Rosa is approximately 48 miles north of San Francisco via Highway 101.

  • North on Hwy 101
    1. Exit 3rd Street Downtown.
    2. Turn left on 3rd Street under freeway (West).
    3. Head three blocks over railroad tracks to Pierson Street, go right (North).
    4. Head North for one block over creek to W 6th Street, go right (East).
    5. Park in lot on right side (South side).
  • South on Hwy 101
    1. Exit at Downtown Santa Rosa.
    2. The exit merges to Davis Street, head South to W 3rd Street, turn right (West).
    3. Head three blocks over railroad tracks to Pierson Street, go right (North).
    4. Head North for one block over creek to W 6th Street, go right (East).
    5. Park in lot on right side (South side).
  • West on Hwy 12
    1. In Santa Rosa, turn left (South) on Farmer’s Lane (it remains Hwy 12).
    2. Enter freeway onramp, right, Hwy 12 West
    3. In less than a mile, exit Dutton Avenue, turn right (North).
    4. Go under freeway for two short blocks to W Third Street, turn right (East).
    5. Head two blocks to Pierson Street, go left (North).
    6. Head North for one block over creek to W 6th Street, go right (East).
    7. Park in lot on right side (South side).
  • East on Hwy 12
    1. In Santa Rosa, exit Dutton Avenue, turn left (North).
    2. Go under freeway for two short blocks to W Third Street, turn right (East).
    3. Head two blocks to Pierson Street, go left (North).
    4. Head North for one block over creek to W 6th Street, go right (East).
    5. Park in lot on right side (South side).

Leaving Handcar Regatta
Essentially, all of the instructions above may be reversed to return.
